Eastlight is looking for a Facilities Officer to deliver a high-quality facilities service in our hubs, ensuring that they are clean and welcoming to all occupants and maintained to a high standard, with due regard to all legal requirements in relation to health, safety, and the environment.

 

As Eastlight’s Facilities Officer, you will:

  • Be responsible for holding all hub keys and participating in an on-call schedule for alarm calls received after hours, including on weekends, ad hoc security, and small repairs.
  • Organise the FM/FA rotas while serving as a Fire marshal and First Aider.
  • Oversee the account management for our cleaning contractor, make sure the sites are clean, and additionally complete a monthly walkthrough with the cleaning contract manager.
  • Take charge of the space and H&S planning for events and activities hosted at our hubs.
  • Complete tasks to facilitate building compliance, action plan reporting and execution, proactive and reactive mechanical and electrical system maintenance, regular procedures and supplementary equipment inspections.

 

This role will be based in our Eastlight Hubs (Braintree / Marks Tey / Witham) and UK driving licence is the essential requirement for this role. In addition, the successful candidate needs to possess or be working towards a relevant Facilities Qualification.

  • £32,058 annual base salary
  • Permanent Contract
  • Group stakeholder pension plan (Eastlight will double, up to 5% of the employee’s contribution - Employee 5% + Eastlight 10% = Total 15%)
