Income Service Manager

This role is integral to ensuring the financial stability of our organisation through effective income management and debt recovery strategies.
Job Purpose
The Income Service Manager will spearhead our efforts to maximize income and ensure the efficient recovery of all debts, including rent and other recoverable costs. By adopting a strategic approach to income collection, this role aims to promote financial inclusion and support the welfare of Eastlight’s tenants.
Key Strategic Responsibilities
Implement and lead strategic income collection initiatives to enhance financial stability and tenant support.
Collaborate with senior management to develop and refine income recovery strategies, incorporating best practices and compliance with legislative policies.
Key Functional Responsibilities
Deliver exceptional customer service, exemplifying Eastlight’s core values and behaviours.
Set and achieve stringent targets, ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory obligations.
Lead and develop the Income Service Team to achieve excellence in rent collection, arrears recovery, and overall financial management.
Monitor rent account statuses and manage portfolios to assess and enhance income recovery methods.
Prepare detailed reports on income collection performance, debt management, and financial forecasts for internal and external stakeholders.
Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures to streamline income management and ensure best practice.
Forge and maintain relationships with statutory and voluntary agencies to promote financial inclusion and tenant welfare.
Experience
Significant experience in strategic team leadership and development, ideally within a housing association or not-for-profit environment.
Proven track record in managing housing-related debt collection and presenting cases in court.
Experience in project management, policy development, and stakeholder engagement.
Knowledge and Skills
Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
Strong negotiation, influencing, and personal management skills.
Comprehensive knowledge of housing, welfare benefit regulations, and financial inclusion strategies.
Proficiency in IT systems relevant to housing management and financial analysis.

£50,717 annual salary
Permanent, Fulltime
